Meet the Teachers
Mackenzie Lyons - Lead Teacher Pavilion Kids Krew
I am Kenzie! I am originally from Colorado and moved to Washington September of '22. In my free time I love reading and listening to books while going on long walks with my dog. Washington has such fun and beautiful outdoor activities to offer and I love exploring! I have eight years of recreation and parks experience and I'm so excited to be working with the Mountlake Terrace community.
Julia Bailey - Asst. Teacher Pavilion Kids Krew
I enjoy working in Kids Krew because I love coming in and playing with the kids every day. It's great working here at the Pavilion because this is the Kids Krew I attended when I was younger. Some of my interests are Star Wars, watching movies and baking. One day I hope to work in the movie industry. I'm also a huge Taylor Swift fan!
Aliza Khan - Asst. Teacher Pavilion Kids Krew
I have been working with kids since I was 14 and I work as a childcare assistant at the Recreation Pavilion with the Kids Krew program. I graduated from Mountlake Terrace High School in 2022, and I am currently a student at UW Bothell. In my free time I enjoy painting and reading.
Alexis Gamber - Lead Teacher Madrona Kids Krew
I moved to Mountlake Terrace over ten years ago with my two boys. I have worked with kids of all ages for 16 years now. I’m very passionate about science and art, sharing my knowledge and learning new things. As an artist I am excited to bring my creativity to the Kids Krew program at Madrona K-8. My absolute favorite dinosaur is Triceratops.
Nikki Dallas - Asst. Teacher Madrona Kids Krew
I've been working in Kids Krew at Madrona K-8 for over a year now. I love working with the kids and enjoy working for this community. I graduated from Meadowdale High School and right now I'm attending Edmonds Community College. When I'm not working with the children, I love spending time playing sports, thrifting, hanging out with my Mom and listening to music.
Leslie Amaral - Asst.Teacher Madrona Kids Krew
Hi I’m Leslie! I’m currently a student at the University of Washington studying education studies with a focus on early childhood studies. I grew up in Everett and currently live there with my family. A few of my favorite hobbies are reading, crocheting, baking, and playing Tetris.
Michele Wyckoff - Lead Teacher MLT Kids Krew
I am the new site lead at Mountlake Terrace Elementary. I first started working with kids through the youth ministry I grew up in and I was a Sunday school teacher as a teen. Once I became a mom at 18, I became very involved in my children's education and that is when my passion for teaching children started. I started my professional career in 2014 and by 2017 I became CDA certified and was a full time pre-K lead teacher. I have taught ages as early as birth through 3rd grade. I’m relatively new to Washington state and I’ve fallen in love with the beautiful scenery and landscapes that the PNW has to offer. I have become interested in hiking and I also enjoy reading and creating art with my daughter. I also enjoy watching a beautiful sunset on a cool evening. I am a mom to four children, ages ranging from 10-22. I look forward to getting to know all of the staff and the families during this journey.
Aleigha Evans - Asst. Teacher MLT Kids Krew
Some of my favorite things are drawing, baking and music. A reason why I love my job with Kids Krew is because I like connecting with the children. Learning more about them and what they like to do is interesting. I work at the Mountlake Terrace Elementary Kids Krew as an assistant to the lead teacher and I absolutely love it!
Gian-Mitchel Ignacio - Asst. Teacher MLT Kids Krew
I'm Gian! I come from a large family, seven siblings, three older and four younger... then there's me. I'm always the one that's in charge of all the kids at our family functions. Babysitting my cousins and siblings has given me great experience working with children. I enjoy sports and love music and I aspire to be a flight attendant one day.
